An Approach to Progress Learning Outcomes: International Graduate Students’ Engagement in Reflective Practice and Reflective Journal Writing during Pandemic

Reflective practice (RP) and reflective journal writing (RJW) are considered the most important ways to enhance students’ learning progress. During pandemic, offline has replaced online keep students safe healthy. This research solely examined during learning, which is significant as education less effective carry full study load. However, this study’s core purpose was determine international graduate perceptions regarding RP RJW in pandemic period. It also investigated whether student engagement enhances their critical reflection The mixed-method (QUAN-QUAL) approach utilized study. sample consisted of 123 who were enrolled various disciplines majors China at least attended two consecutive semesters (24 weeks) online. survey questionnaire based on 28 items collect quantitative data. categorized into four variables: self-education, progress, reflection, engagement. While semi-structured interviews conducted with 5 participants for qualitative data collection, results indicated that all statements received good ranks could be used how journals helped improve skills, In addition, revealed a statistically beneficial association between engagement, Qualitative findings corroborated participation boosted thinking skills facilitated development. Based results, concluded or success ratios well not only but professional practical settings.
